The only
location of Mulate's is in New Orleans, LA. We are sorry to report that,
after 31 years in business, the Mulate's in Breaux Bridge, LA has closed.
Since 1989, Ms. Goldie Comeaux independently owned and successfully operated
the Mulate's in Breaux Bridge until her sudden death in 2008. The family was
dealt another blow when Hurricane Gustav tore the roof off the building. Her
children, under the leadership of her daughter Cheryl, rebuilt the
restaurant and carried on the tradition until now. They received an offer
they couldn't refuse from their lifelong manager, Jimmy LaGrange, who
together with a friend of his, purchased the building that housed the
restaurant. Although we maintain no affiliation with the new restaurant, we
wish Jimmy the best of luck in his new endeavor.
